Rock Garden Trail (Cheaha State Park)

Rock Garden Trail is tricky to find. As long as you keep your eye open for bright pink trail blazes you wont be dissapointed when you jump on this trail!

This was my favorite trail at Cheaha State Park. This trail is very short at only 1/4 mile long but it does not disappoint! Locating this trail can be somewhat tricky. The state park does not offer any detailed maps of the trails, however, If you keep your eye open for the pink rectangular blazes you will soon be on your way to fantastic views.

After getting started on the trail it traverses down a few large rocks. These large boulders seem to be everywhere at Cheaha State Park which makes the trails fun and engaging.

After scrambling down a few rocks the trail comes across a small stream and takes an immediate left. You can cross the creek depending on rainfall but you might get a little wet. Crossing this small stream leads to spectacular views although it is not neccessary. Sammie (my four legged friend) could not quite make the jump without getting wet.

After continuing left on the trail the trees becomes less dense and large boulders spread out creating a large platform with some of my favorite views of the Talladega National Forest.
